I have found the best product in the world when it comes to that time of month. Never one for tampons I have been a mainly pads girl. The more toxic the ingredients become in the pads themselves though, the more sensitive I become and after a day or two wearing the pads, I will break out in an allergic rash.

You can also carry an extra with you when going out so you can change it in a bathroom stall or something, and just put the used on in a wet bag till you can wash it out.

For sterilizing you do NOT want to use hot water. This will cause your sponge's life to be shortened. Instead, soak it with tea tree oil, peroxide or baking soda.

I have used mine for two months and am completely happy. I haven't had to go out a lot, so I don't know how the convenience with that would really be, but how convenient is anything during your period? So far I couldn't be happier!

I have been looking for non-drug/shot/hormone birth control options, and after a recent conversation with my mom and sister, I am left wondering something.

In my opinion, sex starts with marriage, not ends with marriage. Maybe I am on a low end of women who actually craves and enjoys sex but I would rather be in that category, than be married and unhappy.

First Time Postpartum

Almost scarier then the first time, is the first time post-baby. Everything changed, and you don't even feel like your body is yours anymore. Add to that the pain you have had since you pushed that baby out, the fear you have of doing that again, and the whole insecurity over your body (heck, you don't even want to look anymore, why would your husband?) and it is no easy task.

It's easy to see how spouses can fall apart after birth. You push him off a little longer, you go weeks and weeks without it, and then if try too soon, the pain deters you a few more weeks. After a while, women can forget how good it can be and only remember the bad things. If you don't have a dedicated, loving, patient husband, he may not wait for you to come around.

As women, and most of all, wives, we have a biblical duty to fulfill our husbands needs. That does mean sexually as well as everything else. So once the stitches are gone, and the bleeding has stopped, it is our duty to resume sex.

That doesn't mean you let him take advantage of you or dismiss your discomfort; but it does mean that you work together to bring it back into the marriage.
